Tom Crabtree: Packers TE Not Worth Adding to Your Fantasy Squad
As tempting as it might be, adding Tom Crabtree, the third-string tight end for the Green Bay Packers, is not a wise move to make.
With both their starters, Jermichael Finley and backup D.J. Williams, missing practice on Thursday, Crabtree practiced with the first team offense and would be in line to start against the Houston Texans on Sunday night.
"Addition to injury report: TE D.J. Williams, hamstring, DNP. Also DNP: Finley, G. Jennings, Raji, Richardson.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Crabtree, in his third year out of Miami (Ohio), is undersized for the position (6'4", 245 lbs), and while he does have a good set of hands, he's not going to be a focal point of the Packers' vaunted passing attack.
He's caught the three balls that have been thrown in his direction so far in 2012, with his 27-yard touchdown on a fake field goal against the Chicago Bears in week two being delivered by punter Tim Masthay.
Depending on whether Greg Jennings is able to play, Crabtree will be anywhere from the fourth to the sixth option on offense. Rodgers will look to his four wideouts—Jennings, James Jones, Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson—before he glances in Crabtree's direction.
Bye weeks have many of us scrambling to add pieces to our roster, but there are better options available for your one-week tight end needs than Crabtree.
