NFL Week 6 Injury Report: Who Will Play, Who Will Sit?

Ryan AlfieriJun 7, 2018

Now past the quarter mark of the season, injuries are starting to pile up for every NFL team, making decisions for fantasy more and more difficult.

Of course, it is not just fantasy teams that are impacted by these injuries.

Between Robert Griffin III's concussion and Aaron Hernandez's ankle injury, there are a ton of injury concerns for Week 6.

Here is the latest injury report for every game, all according to USA Today

Oakland Raiders vs. Atlanta Falcons

1 of 13

Oakland Raiders

WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (Concussion)—Questionable

Khalif Barnes (Groin)—Out

Notes: Heyward-Bey practiced on Monday, which is encouraging for his chances to start against the Falcons.

Atlanta Falcons

DT Jonathan Babineaux (Groin)—Questionable

DT Peria Jerry (Thigh)—Questionable

LB Stephen Nicholas (Knee)— Questionable

RB Lousaka Polite (Hamstring)—Questionable

TE Michael Palmer (Shoulder)—Questionable

RB Antoine Smith (Hamstring)—Questionable

Notes: The biggest possible loss would be Babineaux, who has been limited in practice all week. If he and Jerry both cannot go against the Raiders, the Falcons will be thin on a defensive line that needs to stop Darren McFadden

Dallas Cowboys vs. Baltimore Ravens

2 of 13

Dallas Cowboys

DE Kenyon Coleman (Knee)—Questionable

DE Jay Ratliff—Probable

P Chris Jones—Questionable

LB Anthony Spencer—Questionable

LB Alex Albright—Questionable

S Matt Johnson—Questionable

C Phil Costa—Questionable

Notes: Good news for the Cowboys, as it appears as if they will finally get Jay Ratliff back after he missed the first four games of the season.

Baltimore Ravens

T Jah Reid (Calf)—Questionable

Notes: The Ravens have a light injury report, but it is still unlikely that they will get Reid back for Week 6. He has been inactive all year.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Cleveland Browns

3 of 13

Cincinnati Bengals

DB Jason Allen (Thigh)—Questionable

CB Dre Kirkpatrick (Knee)—Questionable

Notes: The Bengals are anxious to get Kirkpatrick, who is still recovering from a fractured bone in his knee, on the field for the first time this season.

Cleveland Browns

WR Jordan Norwood (Undisclosed)—Questionable

DT Ahtyba Rubin (Leg)—Questionable

WR Travis Benjamin (Knee)—Questionable

CB Tashaun Gipson (Knee)—Questionable

WR Mohamed Massaquoi (Hamstring)—Questionable

TE Alex Smith (Concussion)—Questionable

LB D'Qwell Jackson (Concussion)—Doubtful

CB Dimitri Patterson (Ankle)—Doubtful

Notes: The Browns will go into this game without their best linebacker in D'Qwell Jackson. However, stud corner Joe Hayden is now eligible after being suspended for four games, which will help make up for the loss of Jackson.

New York Jets vs. Indianapolis Colts

5 of 13

C Nick Mangold (Ankle)—Questionable

FB John Conner (Hamstring)—Questionable

DT Sione Pouha (Back)—Questionable

WR Stephen Hill (Hamstring)—Questionable

RB Mewelde Moore (Ankle)—Questionable

G Seth Olsen (Knee)—Questionable

C Samson Setele (Knee)—Questionable

WR Riley Cooper (Collarbone)—Questionable

Notes: Akeem Jordan has been limited in practice over the past two weeks and should return against the Lions.

DE Glenn Dorsey (Calf)—Questionable

S Kendrick Lewis (Shoulder)—Questionable

QB Matt Cassel (Concussion)—Out

Notes: The big news here is that Matt Cassel has been ruled out, and Brady Quinn will start in his place. Jonathan Baldwin has practiced on a limited basis this week, so there is a possibility that he could play.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

DB Anthony Gaitor (Hamstring)—Questionable

DB Eric Wright (Head)—Questionable

Notes: The extent of Eric Wright's head injury is not known, and his status for Sunday is still up in the air.

RB Anthony Sherman (Knee)—Questionable

CB Greg Toler (Hamstring)—Questionable

LB Reggie Walker (Head)—Questionable

TE Jim Dray (Knee)—Questionable

TE Todd Heap (Knee)—Questionable

QB John Skelton (Ankle)—Questionable

Notes: The Cardinals get Stephens-Howling back at the perfect time after Ryan Williams' season-ending injury. He missed the last two games.

New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks

9 of 13

New England Patriots

TE Rob Gronkowski (Hip)—Probable

G Logan Mankins (Calf)—Probable

T Sebastian Vollmer (Knee)—Probable

LB Tracy White (Foot)—Questionable

S Steve Gregory (Hip)—Questionable

LB Dont'a Hightower (Hamstring)—Questionable

WR Julian Edelman (Hand)—Questionable

DE Justin Francis (Ankle)—Questionable

Notes: It's starting to look like we'll see the return on Aaron Hernandez, who suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 2. Julian Edleman, who has been practicing on a limited basis this week, has a chance to play as well.

Seattle Seahawks

RB Marshawn Lynch (Back)—Probable

C Max Unger (Hip)—Questionable

DT Jaye Howard (Foot)—Questionable

DE Greg Scruggs (Wrist)—Questionable

G John Moffitt (Knee)—Doubtful

Notes: Seattle really needs Unger to find a way to play. Otherwise, trying to stop Vince Wilfork will be a huge problem for them.

New York Giants vs. San Francisco 49ers

10 of 13

New York Giants

LB Keith Rivers (Hamstring)—Probable

CB Corey Webster (Hamstring)—Questionable

LB Chase Blackburn (Hip)—Questionable

S Kenny Phillips (Knee)—Questionable

CB Jayron Hosley (Hamstring)—Questionable

WR Hakeem Nicks (Foot)—Questionable

T David Diehl (Knee)—Questionable

RB Andre Brown (Concussion)—Doubtful

Notes: Bennett hyperextended his knee last week, which would limit his effectiveness on the field even if he were to play. It looks like Andre Brown's concussion could linger for another week.

San Francisco 49ers

QB Alex Smith (Finger)—Probable

RB Brandon Jacobs (Knee)—Probable

Notes: Smith's listing on the injury report is nothing to be concerned about; he should play against the Giants. It appears as if Brandon Jacobs will make his regular-season debut against his former team.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Washington Redskins

11 of 13

Washington Redskins

CB Cedric Griffin (Hamstring)—Questionable

DE Doug Worthington (Calf)—Questionable

QB Robert Griffin III (Concussion)—Questionable

S Brandon Meriweather (Knee)—Out

Notes: Obviously, the big question is whether or not RGIII will play. His concussion was labeled as "mild," but as doctors would say, there really is no such thing. In either case, the Redskins aren't going to let the world know what RGIII will do until they know for certain that he can or cannot play.

Minnesota Vikings

CB Antoine Winfield (Knee)—Probable

DT Kevin Williams (Illness)—Probable

RB Adrian Peterson (Ankle)—Probable

G Charlie Johnson (Back)—Questionable

LB Marvin Mitchell (Calf)—Questionable

CB Andrew Sendejo (Ankle)—Questionable

S Mistral Raymond (Ankle)—Questionable

D'Aundre Reed (Calf)—Questionable

Notes: Peterson's new ankle issues may be something to watch for, fantasy owners, but don't take him out of your lineups just yet. He should be a full-go for Sunday.

Green Bay Packers vs. Houston Texans

12 of 13

Green Bay Packers

TE D.J. Williams (Undisclosed)—Questionable

NT B.J. Raji (Ankle)—Questionable

TE Jermichael Finley (Shoulder)—Questionable

S Sean Richardson—Questionable

LB Terrell Manning (Concussion)—Questionable

RB James Starks (Toe)—Questionable

DB Davon House (Shoulder)—Questionable

Notes: With Cedric Benson out and James Starks questionable, the Packers all of a sudden have a huge hole at running back.

Houston Texans

DB Alan Ball (Ankle)—Probable

G Antoine Caldwell (Foot)—Probable

RB Ben Tate (Toe)—Probable

NT Shaun Cody (Back)—Questionable

DE Antonio Smith (Ankle)—Questionable

Notes: It appears as if Ben Tate will finally return to the lineup and give Arian Foster a break from carrying most of the snaps over the past two games.

Denver Broncos vs. San Diego Chargers

13 of 13

San Diego Chargers

T Jared Gaither (Groin)—Questionable

WR Eddie Royal (Hamstring)

K Nate Kaeding (Groin)

Notes: The Chargers need their kicker back as soon as possible. Nick Novak has been very inconsistent in his place.

Denver Broncos

T Ryan Clady (Hamstring)—Probable

WR Demaryius Thomas (Hip)—Probable

LB Wesley Woodyard (Neck)—Questionable

LB Keith Brooking (Concussion)—Doubtful

Notes: Both Clady and Thomas have been limited in practice all week, but they should be a full-go for Monday night.
