Utah Jazz Makes It 11 Straight Victories
The Jazz are on their longest winning streak since 1999, winning their last 11 straight contests. Deron Williams led the Jazz with 25 points and nine assists. Kyle Korver added 20 points and eight assists off the bench.
Chris Bosh was a monster in this game, dropping 30 points while grabbing eight rebounds. Jose Calderon had a double-double with 10 points and 11 assists, and Andrea Bargnani had 20 points and eight rebounds in the loss.
It was a defensive battle in the Garden, and in the end Dwight Howard and the Magic came out on top. Superman had 18 points, 15 rebounds, and five blocks. Hedo Turkoglu and Rashard Lewis had 16 and 15 points, respectively.
Rajon Rondo missed his first game of the season, so Stephon Marbury started for the Celtics. Marbury had a superb four points in 21 minutes of play. Ray Allen had a game-high 32 points to lead the Celtics.
There is even more bad news for the Celtics: KG will miss another week.
San Antonio 103-Phoenix 98
The Suns dropped an important conference game, going 0-4 on their road trip.
The Spurs, on the other hand, clinched another winning season. Tony Parker led the team with 30 points and nine assists. At one point in the fourth quarter, Parker had either scored or assisted on 24 consecutive points.
Tim Duncan had a double-double with 17 points and 15 assists. Steve Nash led the Suns in the loss, finishing with 23 points and 11 assists. Shaq finished with 14 points and five rebounds.
New Jersey 106-New York 101
The battle of Spike Lee and Jay-Z was won by the latter.
Beyonce’s hubby can thank Devin Harris for his 35 points and 10 assists, which helped the Nets notch the win. Vince Carter added 25 points and nine boards.
David Lee started up a new double-double streak, finishing with 19 points, 14 boards, seven assists, and five steals. Nate Robinson scored 17 coming off the bench.
