Tiger Returns To Stroke Play: WGA At The Doral Blue Monster

Geoff Ogilvy, the hottest player on the PGA Tour, will defend his title against Tiger Woods and some other very good players next week at Doral Country Club, at the famed Blue Monster Course.

Ogilvy has won in match play this season and another event earlier in the year, and is the dominant player on tour this season.

It is another two tournament weekend, as we also have the Puerto Rico Open being played on a beautiful course in the islands as well.

I have chosen Tiger Woods as my A fantasy player this week. He has won this tournament three times previously, and I believe he is ready to establish himself as the player to beat once more.

My other fantasy guys include Rory Sabbatini, who likes the challenge of trying to compete with Tiger, Rory McElroy who has seemed ready to step up this season, and Luke Donald.

On the bench in waiting, will be Anthony Kim, Adam Scott, Steve Stricker and Ian Poulter.

Last week, the best in my team of Cink, Baird, Piercy, and O'Hern did not fare that well, and I scored a little over 100 points in Yahoo fantasy golf.

I am currently at number 39,296 with 1072 points. I am closing in on one of the experts, Michael Arkush, only 20 points behind.

The winner of the Honda Classic looks to be Y. E. Yang, who I am pretty sure notches his first PGA Tour victory.

As I have stated before it's very difficult to pick winners from week to week on tour.

This week, however, I have Tiger Woods. This seems like a good pick to me.

Someone will score a nice victory, and a bump up in status in Puerto Rico this week as well.

The Masters is the first major played this season, and everyone wants to get in that one, if at all possible. Of course the winner in Puerto Rico will get in, so look for tight competition there, as well as in Miami at Doral.

Will Tiger return to form this tournament? That's the big question on everyone's mind this coming week, and it will be very interesting to watch.

A number of players will want to be the spoiler, I'm sure.

The weather has turned sunny and warm in Florida, and it is before the rains. It should be a great tournament this coming weekend.
