Dear WWE No. 3: Merge Raw and Smackdown and Their Titles
In my third installment of Dear WWE, I will be discussing why I think the brands should be combined.
First of all, I am not counting ECW. I believe they should stay the home of new talent.
Raw and Smackdown have been separate brands for a while now. For the first year or so, they really pushed the brand split with the two brand managers feuding and having separate PPVs minus the big 4.

Lately, it doesnt seem to matter what brand you are on, guys from both brands jump around so much its not even like they are split up anymore. Now that Edge and HHH are both on SmackDown that means so are both world titles.
Granted, HHH will face a Raw star in Orton at Wrestlemania, and from what is being said on this site, HHH may be headed to Raw after Mania anyways.
The big problem I have is that no one seems to acknowledge the second tier titles anymore because there are so many. I think it would be great to see the WWE combine Raw and Smackdown.
This doesnt mean superstars have to wrestle both shows each week, it would just mean that they could.
By doing this they could have feuds gain more momentum going into PPV's. Sometimes a feud only has about four weeks before the big showdown at a pay per view. These angles end up being weak when the stars stop fighting after only a month.
Combining the two brands will also allow some of the younger guys like Rhodes, Morrison and Kofi to have more screen time. The WWE has been cutting talent lately and this leaves less stars to fill match spots.
Talking head segments are happening all too frequently on both shows. It almost seems as if we see as many in ring segments and interviews as we do matches and backstage segments.
If the brands were to merge that means we could see another undisputed championship along with an undisputed tag championship. Combining the IC and US titles would also make sense. That way they could bring back either the cruiserweight or lightheavyweight title for the smaller guys to fight for.
