Robert Griffin III has been a fantasy revelation this season.

Much like Cam Newton in 2011, this rookie QB has become a breakout hit for owners—putting up massive points through the air, which is augmented by his uncanny ability to scramble for big gains and touchdowns.

RGIII is leading all offensive players in standard fantasy scoring formats, as ESPN currently has him down for 99 points, six ahead of Matt Ryan—the No. 2 fantasy player in the NFL.

With the Atlanta Falcons matching up with the Washington Redskins in Week 5, that game figures to be one of (if not) the most important contests in regards to fantasy so far this season.

Passing: 20-of-30 for 227 yards, one touchdown, one interception

The Falcons possess some elite cornerbacks in Asante Samuel and Dunta Robinson, but they weren’t able to get it going against the Panthers in Week 4.

Cam Newton was able to beat them for two touchdowns on 15-of-24 passing with no interceptions, which is quite impressive for the mobile QB.

Considering that RGIII is quicker and more dangerous when throwing outside the pocket, he shouldn’t have many problems against this defense either.

However, it’s always worth it to remember that no matter how great Griffin looks right now, he’s still a rookie and mistakes are bound to happen—hence the INT.

Atlanta is awful against the run. Their front line has been shredded to the tune of 146.2 yards per game and given up six touchdowns in just four contests.

RGIII will be able to burn this group when his throwing options are taken away, and he should surpass the 100-yard mark for the first of conceivably many times in his career on Sunday.
