2012 NFL Fantasy Football Week 5: Flex Play (RB/WR) Rankings

It seems to take a few years before defenses start to roll coverage over to a younger receiver. With this in mind, it only made sense to consider Julio Jones as the better fantasy football option in Atlanta.

However, while Roddy White has been one of the better receivers in the NFL over recent years, teams view him as more of a possession receiver rather than a vertical threat. Because of this, teams look to give Jones extra attention as a vertical threat.

White is benefiting from Jones’ presence in the offense and the improved play of quarterback Matt Ryan.

Jones will produce like a WR1 this year, but he may struggle at times dealing with more than single coverage. White should earn our trust as a top-five option at the receiver position going forward.
