Houston Texans vs. New York Jets Previews and Predictions

Aaron Nagler@Aaron_NaglerNFL National Lead WriterOctober 1, 2012

The Houston Texans are serious Super Bowl contenders. The New York Jets are a dumpster fire.

That about sums up where these teams are, so far, in 2012. The Texans look to continue their roll through the NFL with a trip up to New York to take on the reeling Jets in prime time on Monday Night Football

With their best defensive player out, the Jets need to adjust better than they did against the 49ers. You have to figure Antonio Cromartie will follow Andre Johnson around all night with safety help close to 100 percent of the time.

On the flip side, Mark Sanchez needs a hug—or a receiver—or an offensive line.

The Jets haven't been an unmitigated disaster on offense, but it hasn't been pretty, and the Texans are not a defense you want to be facing while trying to work through your issues.

In the video above, we look at how the Jets could possibly steal a win—home dog on Monday night anyone?—and talk about some of the games biggest matchups, as well as give our prediction for the game.

Let us know in the comments below how badly you think the Texans are going to beat the Jets or how the Men of Ryan can pull off the massive upset under the lights at MetLife Stadium.
