Bleacher Report's Week 4 NFL Highlight Tape
It's Week 4 of the 2012 NFL season, and as is the case every week in the National Football League, this week's action was filled with plenty of plays that left fans ooohing, aahing or groaning.
After all, it's all a matter of which team you're rooting for.
With that said, here's a look at some of the top plays from Week 4, from trick plays to long bombs, including an appearance by, of all people, a kicker.
Will wonders never cease?
5. Greg Zuerlein's Bionic Foot
1 of 5It isn't very often that you see a kicker make an appearance in a highlight reel, but when that kicker breaks the franchise record for longest field goal twice in the same game, that's enough to get him the nod.
Such was the case with Greg Zuerlein of the St. Louis Rams, who hit from 58 and 60 yards out in the Rams' victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
4. Jamaal Charles Is Back, Baby!
2 of 5You know, it seems silly in retrospect that just a couple of weeks ago, we were wondering whether the torn ACL that ended the 2011 season of Kansas City Chiefs running back Jammal Charles was still an issue.
Of course, that was before Charles torched the New Orleans Saints for nearly 300 total yards last week.
The fifth-year pro racked up 115 total yards in Week 4's loss to the San Diego Chargers, and while Charles may want to forget the two fumbles he lost, this nifty 37-yard touchdown run is worth remembering.
3. Brian Hartline Is the Bomb
3 of 5Of all the huge performances in Week 4, the most unlikely is easily the career game that Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brian Hartline had in their overtime loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
The fourth-year pro hauled in 12 passes for 253 yards and a score, including this 80-yard bomb in the fourth quarter that gave the Dolphins the lead.
2. Percy Doesn't Play Around
4 of 5It didn't take long at all for Week 4's first big highlight, and if you were still grabbing the bag of Doritos, you may have missed it.
Special teams were a huge part of the Minnesota Vikings victory over the Detroit Lions on Sunday, and it all started when wide receiver Percy Harvin returned the game's opening kickoff 105 yards for a touchdown.
1. Trickeration!
5 of 5It wasn't just the big leg of Greg Zuerlein that propelled the St. Louis Rams to victory over the Seahawks on Sunday, although Zuerlein played a part in the play of the game as well.
Just before the half, head coach Jeff Fisher reached into his bag of tricks, calling for a fake field goal where holder Johnny Hekker found wideout Danny Amendola wide open for a touchdown pass.
God, I love trick plays. Especially the ones that actually work.
