Cabo Verde's Amazing Story 🇨🇻

Arsenal is Nothing Without Arsene Wenger

Bob BobbyMar 6, 2009

Over the past few months, sadly, all you hear about Arsenal is how they are failing and that it is time Arsene Wenger left (or got the sack). It is even sadder to hear this coming from Arsenal fans.

How quickly they forget what Arsene has done for this club.  Arsenal was a mid-table team with little to desire in their style of football.  Arsene took this mediocre team and transformed it into a team with speed, flare, passion, style and kept this team at the top level for over a decade.

He gets players who would be mediocre in other clubs to become stars at Arsenal.  Viera, Anelka, Hleb and Flamini are prime examples.  How are these players doing in their current clubs?  Not as good as they did at Arsenal, I can guarantee you.

I would not be surprised if players who are earning twice the amount of money offer their services to play for Arsene Wenger at a lesser pay packet.  Arshavin is one example.

Arsene is a true manager.  Why?  Because he does not need to buy the cups.  He is different than other managers.  He is someone who truly manages.  By purchasing well established players who cost zillions, you are basically trying to buy the title/cups.

Wenger manages each player by building their confidence, training them well, and having faith in them.  In return, they play as well as (sometimes even better than) highly rated players.

Chelsea—did they really win those titles or did they buy them?  You decide.

If Arsenal manage to win the premiership, they will have truly won it.

So if Wenger was to leave (or get sacked), who can take over?  Phil Scolari?  Mourinho? Rijkaard?  They are the most likely candidates, but you know that boring football will follow and Arsenal will be no more.  Yes they may start winning but so can this team with Wenger if people are patient enough.  I would much rather have an Arsenal winning with style than a team that plays boring football and wins by a 1 -0 last minute goal.

If you are a real Arsenal fan, support them in the difficulties as well as the good times.
