Arsenal Faces Season Definers the Rest of the Way
A big Tuesday Arse coming your way today! How have you lot been? It's not been ever so cheerful over at Arsenal Football Club lately, the Milan result aside. And the Gunners and Gooners understandably have been a bit of a disgruntled lot.
We've seen a lead in the Premiership turn to deficit (that's if Manure gets the result they want at Old trafford, fingers crossed that they get stuffed).
There has been plenty said today by Arsene, Toure, and RVP about the Boro game with an eye on the challenges ahead. Shall we begin with the goal scorer at the weekend?

Kolo Toure thinks that we can come away with the points, beating the Chavs at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
"Now we just need to keep going and win the big games," Toure said. "We are still in the title race and as long as we play like we did late on [against Middlesbrough] then in other games we might be more lucky.
"We will try to go to Chelsea and get some points. We know that we can go anywhere and win—we have shown that in Milan. We need to repeat that kind of performance next week and then we can beat Chelsea.
"At the moment it is hard because we have dropped two points in every game. But when we get back to winning, we can carry that on until the end of the season."
Well his comments in a nut shell sorta sum up the frustrations of all of us associated with the club. We know we can do a 'Milan' when we are up for it. We have the potential to play at that level. Now if we could only do it a little more consistently. I know that form is hard to recreate week in week out, but you catch my drift.
Arsene feels that we were lacking a bit of belief in the Boro game, and talk like that is extremely worrying. Wenger needs to get them up and about, we have a Premiership and European cup to fight for!
"I feel they gave absolutely everything, but there was a little fraction less of belief," Arsene said. "There was a big disappointment in the dressing room. It was like a defeat. It is the flattest I have seen them after a game.
"I feel the team fights, we came back again against Boro and this team will fight until the end. I believe we need to keep fighting and then to turn things around. We have to lift the spirits and go for the next one."
Robin Van Persie, like I've said before, could be absolutely vital going in to the season definers. RVP thinks that we need to bring some silverware to the Grove this season.
"We have to win at least one trophy this time," he said. "If we don’t, then we would have played fantastic football for nothing.
“This is our moment. We all realise we are in a fantastic position and this has to be our year. It’s still in our hands and we have to take it. We have something here. We can win the Double but belief is 50 percent of it. I still think we can do it, and hopefully I can play a part in it.
“I’m not a daydreamer, I really think we can win the title and the Champions League this season. Why not? We have the quality and the belief which can take you very far."
I'm sure that you've noticed that Arseish is a huge fan of RVP. There's more on his personal form and injuries here. Yes, sometimes playing fantastic football is not quite enough. Cups! Yes cups, big beautiful shiny ones! Those are what we need!
In other news Tomas Rosicky (yeah, remember him?) says that he is getting increasingly frustrated with being injured. So are we Tomas, so are we!! He's not back to full training yet and there's no clear indication as to when he will be. Yikes!
Cescy displays a particular finger to the likes of Barca and Real Madrid , not quite the one in the pic above though.
"If they want me here for life and I feel happy then, definitely, why not?" Cescy said. "Someone says he wants to come back to Spain and some people speak about Barcelona and Real Madrid like they are the best thing that can ever happen."
While Fab speaks of staying a Gooner, we may well have to say goodbye, quite inevitably, to a player who has served us well over the years. More on this if and when it does happen. And there's news of some more movement here.
All the games coming up in the Prem and the CL are huge as you will agree. Big games are not the ones posing problems for us, however. We seem to find that something extra for those games. It's against the lesser likes that we have come a cropper recently.
It may well just be a loss of form, but we need to shake it all off and bring our A game for pretty much the rest of the season. Well that shouldn't really be a problem since they are all potential season-shapers from here on in.
And now if you will excuse me, I have to get back to doing what I've been doing all day...nothing!
