Chris Johnson: Time Has Come for Fantasy Owners to Give Up on Titans RB
Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson is a waste of fantasy space.
The once explosive and prodigious back has been the biggest flop of this 2012 fantasy season, and there is nothing pointing to him turning it around.
In three games this season, Johnson has amassed just 45 yards, and he has done so at only 1.4 yards per carry. He has also not sniffed the end zone running or receiving.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Now, Johnson has seen his yardage improve in every game, but with numbers like these who cares? That's like saying my second dollar makes me twice as close to a million.
Johnson gained a season-high 24 rushing yards against the the Detroit Lions on Sunday, and it took him 14 carries to get that. One of those 14 runs hit for 13 yards, which may have required Johnson to take oxygen after the marathon dash. The rest of his runs were a bunch of nothing.
Johnson has actually been far more productive catching the ball this year. For the season, he has nine catches for 63 yards. While this would be a nice number to add to a solid rushing line, it is not enough to lead him to fantasy value.
The Titans are doing a poor job of opening up holes for Johnson and he is doing a terrible job of trying to make something out of nothing. He is trying to hit home runs when he needs to be focused on trying to slide his way to three yards.
There may still be those that hold out hope that Johnson will turn it around. After all, he improved after a slow start last year.
It's true, C.J. got off to a bad start last year, but his 98 yards at 2.1 per carry through three games looks fantastic next to his numbers this year.
Johnson looks more tentative this year, not as explosive, there are not as many holes for him and he is getting less touches.
There is no scenario in which he should be starting in a fantasy league. Feel free to bench, trade or cut Johnson.
