Updated Heisman Trophy Power Rankings

With one-third of the regular season complete—and oh, is that painful to type—the Heisman Trophy race is starting to take shape.

Players that were deemed favorites before the season began are now out of the picture, and it’s still very much up for grabs, but things will become a bit clearer with conference play set to begin.

Typically, this award goes to a player on a team very much a part of the BCS championship picture, but as we saw last year, that isn’t always the case.

As for the top five thus far through 2012, they may not have been the favorites heading into the year, but they are very familiar.
