Cardinals Beat Out 49ers For Warner

The Arizona Cardinals agreed to a two-year, $23 million deal with veteran QB Kurt Warner today, so obviously his visit to San Fransisco paid off.

Warner only got a couple more million than the original offer that Arizona made, but he will now get about $19 million guaranteed. Kurt said that he feels he can continue to produce at a high for at least two more years, which is how he decided to make a two-year offer.

Warner really banked in on that Super Bowl run that he made last season, suckering the Cardinals into to giving him an unprecedented $19 mil guaranteed.

Kurt finished last season with 4583 yards and 30 TDs.

Lewis Coming Back To Ravens

Free Angency FootballThe Baltimore Ravens have agreed to terms with the heart and soul of their team, Ray Lewis. The two sides agreed to a three-year deal worth somewhere between $20-$25 million.

At one point in the offseason, it looked like Lewis may have been out of the Ravens’ plans. Once the team franchised Terrell Suggs, and started to have serious negotiations with Bart Scott, Baltimore made it seem like Lewis was the third best of their linebacking group.

But when Bart Scott signed with the Jets, the Ravens’ front office knew that they had to get to work on luring Ray away from Dallas (DeMarcus Ware just lost some credibility).

Lewis will now anchor one of the top defenses in the league—at least emotionally—for another three years.

Manny Decides To Stop The Madness

After weeks and weeks of negotiations, Manny has finally agreed to a two-year-$45 million deal.

Per ESPN:

"

“We want to say yes.”

With those five words, uttered over the phone Monday night by Scott Boras to Dodgers owner Frank McCourt, it was over.

Well, not totally over. Manny Ramirez wasn’t a Dodger. Not yet.

But the four-month war of wills — and words — that had chewed up the Dodgers’ entire winter, that was finally over. Manny was ready to make a deal. Boras was ready to make a deal. And the Dodgers were more than ready to make a deal.
