The San Francisco 49ers are riding high and hobnobbing with Hollywood celebrities.
It's hard to debate against the 49ers being the best team in the NFL right now. They took down the Green Bay Packers and then dominated the Lions.
And to think the added pressure of Handshake-Gate weighing heavily on the mind of head coach Jim Harbaugh.
OK, I agree the handshake fodder some waited for at the end of the game was ridiculous, but so was the cameo made by stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson.
But this was the good kind of silly.
The 49ers' official website (h/t Off the Bench) has a full video of the actors walking in and meeting the team with grown men acting like little kids who see Mickey Mouse at Disneyland for the first time.
As Rick Chandler of Off the Bench surmises, the two are most likely in town to shoot some added scenes to their upcoming comedy The Internship.
While the movie centers around the two taking internships at Google, many of the scenes were apparently shot at Georgia Tech.
Chandler thinks they may have been there to shoot some exteriors. Or perhaps they were there to get on some of the last remaining seats of the 49ers' bandwagon.
Something tells me that thing is going to get mighty full shortly.
Vaughn is a native Chicagoan who is also a fan of the Cubs and Blackhawks. Maybe Jay Cutler's constant pouting wore thin with him, or there is a Bears jersey underneath all that 49ers swag.
