FIFA 13: New Photos Show off Stunning Detail and Increase Excitement for Release
Lionel Messi in the adidas All-Star kit is enough to turn up the decimals on the hype meter this close to the FIFA 13 release. These other screenshots further drive the point home.
Kits are huge in football, so it is great to see them rendered so accurately. It is also great to have tons of alternate kits for clubs and stars. Seeing Messi work his magic in the All-Star kit is a treat.
The following images are an example of FIFA 13 just showing off.
Take a look at the detail as Christian Abbiati of Milan reaches to deflect the ball. It appears he just gets his fingertips on it, in this stunning action sequence. This is a snapshot of how precise the physics engine is in FIFA 13.
The next shot is a great display of the superb lighting and shading techniques. It also features Milan and Manchester City in action. Take a look at the shadows on the ground and on the players themselves.
The shot also accurately depicts Philippe Mexes' hair texture, and even the Sasha Vujacic-style hair band.
In the playable views of the game you don't get an opportunity to appreciate these types of shots, but the details shine through in these captures.
The kits aren't complete without detailed boots. Take a look at the varied kicks available in these shots. Nike and adidas are well represented throughout.
The shot below is a great example of the polished look in footwear, as well as the overall visual package.
FIFA 13's gameplay is awesome. If you don't believe me, download the demo on Xbox 360 or PS3, but these screenshots show you how pretty the game is up close.
