WWE: Ways to Improve Wrestlemania

Brendan O'NeillMar 4, 2009

Hello all again, another day at work means another chance to write an article on B/R. Hope none of my bosses see this.

After venting my frustration yesterday at the inclusion of Mark Henry in the Money in the Bank match, I thought I'd list a couple of things that I think would improve Wrestlemania.

Now people looking at the picture for this article may start to think "this guy doesn't actually want to see Hogan wrestle another money making match" (for Hogan that is).

My answer is NO, this list is things I don't want to see happen at 'Mania 25 that will benefit the show.

Firstly, I definitely do not want to see another Hogan match at Wrestlemania; Vince needs to stay well away from this idea. There are only so many times one man can swindle WWE fans.

Let me explain that, the WWE fans pay to watch wrestling; Hogan is a three-move wonder at best.

Now I understand that Hogan changed the face of the industry, and respect what he's done for WWE its just I don't want to see him at 'Mania.

Other wrestlers who should be added to the Do Not Compete List are: Vladimir Kozlov, The Great Khali, The Boogeyman, Ric Flair. I'm sure there are a few others, if you can think of any let me know.

I've already stated my displeasure concerning Mark Henry and Money in the Bank, so on I'll leave that one, the next thing I don't want to see is a WWE Women's Champion vs. Diva's Champion match.

Now I have nothing against the Diva's, but in order to be a part Wrestlemania, you need to be a top level performer, and with the exception of Mickie James, Beth Phoenix and Melina, none of the Diva's are.

If rumours are to be believed, Trish Stratus is being asked to make an appearance, and I reckon fans would care more for that.

Last year's Wrestlemania was amazing, nearly every match was was fantastic, and that brings me to the next thing. I do not want to see another 8-second ECW Title match. How disrespectful was that to the competitors involved, the brand and the Title itself?

Let them have more time, as seen on ECW a few weeks ago, Swagger and Christian had a five-star match when given time.

Now maybe another Swagger-Christian wouldn't suffice as it's just recently happened, but there's nothing wrong with adding someone else into the picture, a triple threat match with John Morrison would be interesting.

I can't see this one happening, but thought I'd mention it anyway. I don't think Undertaker should lose his streak to HBK. Nothing against HBK, the greatest in-ring performer bar none, but if and when the streak is broken, it should be to enhance the reputation of a younger Superstar.

Well time to get back to work. Feel free to add your own suggestions, I'll try and respond to any that are posted.
