Andy Murray's Entourage Rack Up $6,500 Bill After US Open Triumph
Andy Murray knows how to throw a party.
The price of victory might be paid in the gym, but it can also be measured in an epic bar tab listing pricey cocktails and one lemon soda.
Sports Illustrated cites a report from the London Evening Standard painting quite the night at the pub for U.S. Open champion Andy Murray following his amazing win.
Here is a picture of the receipt.
That is one tiny little piece of paper that would make most of us nauseous if it ever made its way to our table and placed before us in a little black billfold.
There is no amount of booze that would allow us to greet this kind of bill, totalling $6,448, with nonchalance.
Before we hail Murray as tennis' answer to Rob Gronkowski, note the lonely and depressed lemon soda that sits on the bill like the kid picked last for dodgeball.
That's Murray's.
It seems a past experience boozing in Barcelona put him off drinking. Funny, we had similar experiences but decided to forge ahead like the go-getters we are.
Another point of fact that may aggravate some of you who will pay ridiculous bar tabs this weekend, Murray had this soiree comped.
Except for the gratuity, the tab is forgiven.
Raise our respective glasses to Andy Murray; champion, drinker of lemon sodas and purveyor of epic parties.
