John Cena vs. CM Punk: Big Show Will Spoil Marquee Matchup at Night of Champions
The top storyline set to play out at the Night of Champions is John Cena’s Feud with CM Punk. Unfortunately, these two will not settle their differences because the Big Show will get in the way.
This is a long-standing feud that needs at least some closure on Sunday night, but this is unlikely to happen.
Both men have an excellent presence on the microphone and are captivating to watch. Cena can flawlessly get a crowd behind him, while Punk convincingly plays the heel.

They are the two biggest stars the WWE has, and it is tempting to give them center stage at every available opportunity, but this feud will get played out quickly if the writers keep extending it.
This is exactly what they are going to do, as the Big Show will continue to get tied into this spat.
Cena told Punk on Raw this past Monday that he did not deserve respect just because of his belt. He said, “The reason you have that and kept it is by any means necessary and that does not define a champion in my eyes.”
Cena is about to be proved right when the third member of SummerSlam’s triple-threat match gets back in the ring and helps CM Punk keep the title.
With Punk beating Cena in a less than honorable way, the stage will be set for a rematch and this feud will continue. This is the second summer in a row that these two have been at odds, and there’s only so much life left in this storyline.
A convincing, undisputed victor in this match would be the best outcome because it will keep this plot from becoming too repetitive.
However, it is doubtful that the storyline that has been so heavily relied upon this summer will be cut off. Night of Champions will not be the end of the feud, but hopefully it is one of the final chapters in the story.
