NBA 2K13: Key Takeaways from My Career Developer Insight Video

You could read into the length of the video covering My Career and say that the mode must be huge. The video is over seven minutes long while the other developer insights were under three minutes.

There certainly seems to be some validity in that assessment. The other modes and aspects of the game seem to be deep, but My Career is really brimming with its own features and nuances.

The video covers most, if not all, of the aspects of the mode.

You are able to take your player from a potential draft pick, trying to improve his draft stock in the rookie showcase, to a full-fledged star. 

The path can include being selected No. 1 overall in the draft for the first time. You can individualize your player in several ways. You're able to outfit your player for pre-game cut-scenes, blacktop appearances and even your draft day attire.

Watching Ronnie2K's character in the video demonstrate some of the pregame rituals is pretty awesome. It is also good to hear that 2K didn't rest in regard to gameplay.

The mode played well in NBA 2K12, but there were a few A.I. mishaps with your teammates. Erick Boenisch, the game's producer, speaks on how the developers have addressed those issues as well.
