2007 NFL Playoffs: Wild Card Round
My calls for the first round of the playoffs...
I am going to go with the Giants here...and it is only for the fact that I think the Giants are due for a good game and that they have an overall better team. They are the coldest team entering the playoffs, but I think Tiki Barber will be on track and the Giants will upset the Eagles. GIANTS 24 EAGLES 17
I am going to take the Cowboys because I think they have a better team. Tony Romo will be able to exploit the Seahawks secondary. I think the Cowboys will end up being too much for the Seahawks to handle on defense. I think the Cowboys will contain Alexander...and it is very possible that Matt Hasslebeck will have a long day full of mistakes. COWBOYS 27 SEAHAWKS 17
The Patriots will not let the Jets beat them in their house again. It is going to be a long day for the Jets, and I think the Patriots will handle them in the trenches. I look for Tom Brady to play well, but the key will be the Patriots ability to run the ball versus the Jets defense. I also think the Pats defense is too much to handle for the Jets. PATRIOTS 30 JETS 13
On paper this is the worst first-round matchup the Colts could have envisioned. They have not been able to stop the run all season long. They will have their hands full with Larry Johnson. I think the Chiefs will control the clock and the game. I also think the Colts will struggle surprisingly versus a very improved Chiefs defense. I like the Chiefs in this one. CHIEFS 27 COLTS 21
