Yankees End Ballgame in a 5-5 Tie

The Yankees pounded Mike Hampton today, but they wound up giving back their 3-0 lead. Wang took the ball to start the game, and he threw two scoreless frames. Steven Jackson and Wilkins De La Rosa pitched very well today. George Kontos came into the game and coughed up 3 runs in the 8th inning, which tied the game at 5-5. Angel Berroa went 2-3, with two runs and 1 RBI. Melky went 2-3, while picking up a run and 2 RBI’s.

     The Yankees now move onto a record of  2-3-1. The Yankees will take on Team USA tomorrow, where Derek Jeter will face his own team. Now that should draw a big audience. How often does that happen? The game will be at 1:15 PM ET at George M. Steinbrenner Field. Phil Hughes will get the start against Roy Oswalt.  I hope Hughes strikes out DJ. Haha.
