Week 2 Waiver Wire: Alfred Morris, Randall Cobb and Must-Have Players
Alfred Morris and Randall Cobb were among the players who had surprisingly productive games in Week 1, and both would be excellent waiver-wire pickups in any fantasy football league.
Not only did Morris and Cobb make the most of their opportunities, but both players were integral parts of the offenses for their respective teams. The future looks bright for both players in 2012.
They are not the only players who were counted on to take on more responsibility than they ever have and stepped up to the challenge.

Here are the top players to target as waiver-wire pickups this week.
Alfred Morris, RB, Washington Redskins
Morrisโ 96 yards and two touchdowns were certainly impressive, but his 28 carries make him this weekโs top target on the free-agent list.ย
As a sixth-round draft pick in April, he did not cause much fanfare going into the season, but he may be this seasonโs most surprising fantasy player.
He is currently owned in just 15 percent of ESPN leagues, and the majority of owners with high positions in waiver-wire orders this week will have shots to pick him up.
Featured running backs who receive 20 or more carries per week are usually all drafted in the first two rounds. It is a rare occurrence that one is available to pick up this early in the season.
Randall Cobb, WR/KR, Green Bay Packers
For the second season in a row, Cobb has scored a touchdown on special teams in the season opener.
This year will be much different for Cobb on offense, though, and he had nine catches for 77 yards in Week 1. He grabbed all nine passes that Aaron Rodgers threw to him, and he was targeted more than twice as often as he was in any game last season.
Cobb accounted for half of Green Bayโs six third-down conversions in this game, and Rodgers showed an immense amount of trust in his young receiver.
The second-year player returned that trust with an excellent performance, one in which he caught everything thrown to him, and he appears set for a breakout year.
Kevin Ogletree, WR, Dallas Cowboys
Ogletree was far and away Tony Romoโs favorite receiver in the Cowboysโ game against the New York Giants.
The 25-year-old dominated as the slot receiver, catching eight passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns. Romo looked his way 11 times, while targeting Dez Bryant five times, Miles Austin four times and Jason Witten just three times.
Matchups often dictate where a quarterback goes with the ball, and Romo will not be as keen on finding Ogletree every week. Still, the four-year man out of Virginia has proven that the Cowboys offense has a new dimension, and he will have more productive games this season.ย
Ogletree will continue to shred teams as a third receiver, and will be the first option to move into the starting lineup if Bryant or Austin gets injured.
Coby Fleener, TE, Indianapolis Colts
Fleenerโs chemistry with Andrew Luck, his college quarterback, was clear in the Coltsโ Week 1 loss to the Chicago Bears.
The tight end caught six of the 10 passes thrown to him for 82 yards. He was the teamโs second-leading receiver, behind Reggie Wayne.
At 6โ6โ, Fleener is a big target for Luck in the red zone, and he will get plenty of chances to score touchdowns this season.
Twenty-eight of Luckโs 45 throws against the Bears went to either Wayne or Fleener, showing which receivers he trusts. Fleener will be an often-used part of Luckโs arsenal this season, and as the QB improves, so will his tight endโs numbers.ย
