Ray Ray, Come Back to Me

Old AccountMar 1, 2009

It is quiet here in Baltimore, too quiet.

Tonight, I went out for some quick shopping before we were hit with a major storm. Something different occurred tonight, something I'm not, nor will ever be, used to.

It was quiet by the harbor, where it is always filled with tons of people from the Maryland area. Not a soul could be found.

It is obvious what is occurring around Raven country: Ravens' fans have been hurt by Scott's departure, the possibility of Ivy and Leonard heading North, but most importantly, the possibility of losing heart and soul of this organization, Ray Lewis.

Reports have been out for weeks, stating that Lewis will not take a paycut for the team he's been with all his career. In this economy, I suppose its beggars can't be choosers.

But Ray, please cut us some slack.

The Baltimore Ravens, the diehard fans, and most importantly, the city of Baltimore need you, Ray. Without you, the Ravens are a totally different organization. We can replace a GM or our defensive mind.

We cant replace you Ray Ray, and I will refuse to see the day you go.

Can you seriously look good in any other uniform than the one you have been in all your life?

Don't tell me you could fit in with the circus show known as the Cowboys. You need to come back to the place you belong, Ray.

Don't let all of us down.

Many people think you are moving on, but many people think that you have no choice but to come back to Baltimore. I have to see it to believe it.

It's unfortunate to say it, but I hope you are better and won't get caught up with the saying, "Money talks. "

You will be given a good offer by the Ravens, so be sure to not pass it up.

We can afford to lose Scott, as our defense won't miss a beat.

Losing you will not only hurt the defense, but hurt the people who have loved you all these years.

It's time you came to your senses, Ray.

Come back to me, come back to me!
