Pacquiao Storm Approaching Los Angeles

In just a few short days, Manny Pacquiao will make his arrival in Los Angeles.  The Wild Card Gym will go from a normal 60 miles per hour, to a speed kills pace when the pound for pound king makes his entrance.  Newly hired Roach assistant Michael Moorer is ready and waiting, and will soon be blessed with the opportunity to be working with boxing's most exciting fighter. Roach and Moorer, Buboy, and the rest of Team Pacquiao will be creating the war plan, and Pacquiao will be executing that game-plan against a very dangeous foe in Ricky Hatton.

As of right now, parts of Team Pacquiao is already in Los Angeles. Recently, in a friendly game of darts in England, Pacquiao came up short against Ricky Hatton. Darts is an English game—it's a traditional UK pastime. I wonder if the two were able to make it to a billiards table?

Pacquiao is known to enjoy shooting some pool, so I am guessing he probably would have provided his future foe with more of a challenge doing that instead. When the fun and games are over with, and it's time to lace up the gloves and throw bombs in the ring, I have an idea that darts and billiards will be the furthest thing from both prizefighters minds.

If you enjoy a lot of blood, and if you enjoy seeing the faces of fighters swell up, then I believe that you will enjoy this fight. It will not require a search party to find Hatton. He will be in front of Pacquiao, and in his face for however long the match lasts. Pacquiao will pepper Hatton's face with blinding speed from various angles for as long as the match lasts. Hatton will keep coming forward, and he will blast Pacquiao with crunching body shots, and Hatton will try to catch Pacquiao with something that will send him to the floor.

I can hear the drums and the singing already.  You don't have to like Hatton, and you don't have to like his fans, but you must respect them. Hatton is a force and so are his fans, so be prepared for Vegas to look and sound like London come fight time. Pacquiao fans will have to come strong in order to counter what Hatton will bring with him across the pond.

This fight has the potential to be explosive, with a lot of damage inflicted.  I don't think Hatton has the movement that he will need to avoid the blinding speed that Pacquiao will impose upon him. Hatton, in my opinion, must try to rough up Pacquiao. He must do a lot of grabbing and inside work to the best of his ability. He will not be able to out box Pacquiao—he is too fast for that.

Yes, right now Los Angeles (Hollywood's) Wild Card Gym is on the cusp of another buzzing few months.  Those who are lucky enough to witness Pacquiao train shouldn't be surprised if the entire gym stops to watch as he bangs the heavybag.

Let's kick this thing off—Pacquiao vs. Hatton is coming soon!
