Michael CummingsJun 7, 2018

First Cristiano, now Cesc.

What does it all mean? Nothing much, besides the fact that two big stars are feeling a bit cranky in their jobs.

Elsewhere in Wednesday's edition of the B/R World Football Gossip Roundup, we have updates on Neymar, Alessandro Del Piero and Tottenham Hotspur's transfer dealings.

Cesc Fabregas has revealed his frustration with life at FC Barcelona after being substituted out of another match (via the Daily Mail).

The Spain international midfielder/forward made his comments to Radio Marca:

"

There's no such thing as a great substitute in the world of football. I couldn't tell you what makes a great substitute. I always wish my team-mates well and put a happy face on. If I have to take my unhappy face home then so be it, but I would never let my team-mates or manager see it.

"

Cesc, 25, joined Barcelona in 2011 after eight years with Arsenal. He has started all three of Barcelona's league matches this season, only to be subbed out of every one.

Jermain Defoe: Madness During Transfer Window

5 of 5

Finally, Tottenham Hotspur forward Jermain Defoe has revealed the "mad" atmosphere at the club during the recently closed transfer period (via The Independent).

Luka Modric and Rafael van der Vaart were sold, while Clint Dempsey, Moussa Dembele and Hugo Lloris joined the club.

"

It was a bit mad. You walk into the changing rooms, see the lads and didn't know if you would see them the next day. It is funny. I was away to have my wisdom tooth out one day, came [back] in and Tom [Huddlestone] had gone to Stoke [for a medical for a prospective one-year loan deal]. Someone else had gone as well. I said to the lads 'I miss one day and all the players are going'.
