Robert Turbin: Seahawks Rookie RB Will Shine vs. Cardinals in Week 1
Rookie running back Robert Turbin is an ideal fit with the Seattle Seahawks.
He also may have been overlooked in the NFL draft like quarterback Russell Wilson was.
That's really all you need to know as the Seahawks face the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1 on Sunday.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Turbin flashes NFL potential in so many areas that it's hard to see why he fell to the fourth round on draft day. At 222 pounds, he not only has the power to move piles, he has rare speed and athleticism for his size. He ranked ninth in the 40-yard dash among all running backs at the combine, and every player ahead of him was a smaller back.
On top of that, Turbin is an adept receiver out of the backfield, making him useful in various packages.
Given all this, it's no wonder why Turbin racked up a combined 2,813 yards and 32 touchdowns on the ground in his last two seasons at Utah State. It's also not a mystery why he registered 589 yards and nine touchdowns through the air in that span.
But above all, Turbin fits with the Seahawks. He excels at running downhill, but he also has the shifty feet to make quick cuts. His one-cut style is just what the Seahawks like in their zone-blocking scheme, which is why the coaching staff has been raving about him all offseason. (He rushed 14 times for 93 yards and a touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs in Seattle's third preseason game.)
With starting running back Marshawn Lynch still battling back spasms (per Adam Schefter of ESPN), the Tacoma News Tribune is expecting Turbin to be a "significant part of the game plan" moving forward. Given the Cardinals allowed a middle-of-the-pack 4.2 yards per carry and 15 rushing touchdowns last season, Turbin should be able to find some room to run.
The biggest concern with Turbin is his pass protection, which may come into play against the Cardinals in Week 1, but, as far as his ability to carry the rock, the Seahawks aren't expecting a huge drop-off if Lynch is forced to miss time.
Turbin has already turned some heads in the preseason. Expect him to do the same in Week 1.
Let's talk about this on Twitter.
