We found out last week from TMZ that WWE Diva Cameron, real name Ariane Andrew, was arrested for a DUI.
News also came to light that she had apparently tried to bribe an officer with $10,000.
Now it has been reported on PWInsider that she has been handed a punishment for her crime. The report goes on to say that it might not have been the DUI that actually got her the punishment.
There was a lot of heat on her for the company finding out about the arrest from online reports, as opposed to her informing them of the issue. Another factor was the embarrassment of being part of the first act featured on the new WWE children's series, Saturday Morning Slam.
There are two particularly interesting points here. The first one is how the DUI itself may not have led to the punishment.
Other superstars have had DUIs in the past and not been punished, but those incidents were probably handled properly as opposed to what Andrew did by trying to bribe an officer and not listing WWE as her employer.
The other interesting thing is that it seems that she is being punished because WWE had to find out online instead of from the diva's own mouth.
Honesty may be the best policy when it comes to being a WWE employee because when it comes right down to it, any bad press negatively affects the reputation of the company as well as the performer.
WWE comes under fire constantly for the behavior of its performers, which goes to show you that your actions do not always affect you and you alone.
The suspension being just 15 days is a good sign, though, as it shows that WWE is not looking to totally get rid of her.
She will be able to return within two weeks to continue accompanying Brodus Clay to the ring and dancing with Naomi.
What do you think? Was the punishment fair or should WWE have gone a different route?
