The two big names missing from the group are Landon Donavon and Michael Bradley. Donavon is still recovering from a hamstring strain, according to MLSSoccer.com, while Bradley injured a muscle in his thigh, as noted by Allen Ramsey of Goal.com.
The United States is coming off an historic 1-0 victory over Mexico in a friendly. The team had been 0-19-1 at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, getting outscored 81-14 in those matches, as noted by Fox News Latino.
Now, the Americans will show whether they have gained momentum from that monumental win, or if it was just another friendly after all. Michael Orozco, Terrence Boyd and Brek Shea were the three players responsible for setting up the United States’ game-winner, and all three will be on the team for the matches against Jamaica.
After facing Jamaica, the Americans will play two more World Cup qualifiers in October. They will face Antigua and Barbuda on October 12 and Guatemala on October 16.
