Roy Nelson and the Worst Hair in MMA History
When Roy Nelson makes his coaching debut on the 16th season of The Ultimate Fighter this Friday, he might just have the worst hairdo in the show's history - sorry Mayhem Miller.
But the eccentric heavyweight isn't alone, however, as mixed martial art's has a history of zany personalities with crazy haircuts.
Let's take a look at the fighters' with the worst hair in MMA's history.
11. Josh Koscheck
1 of 11Josh Koscheck has been one of the biggest villains in the welterweight division for years, a perennial contender despite his polarizing past as both a contestant and coach on TUF.
Well his bleached blonde curls certainly hasn't won him over any fans.
10. Louis Gaudinot
2 of 11Another TUF alum to grace the list, Louis Gaudinot's green hair burst onto the MMA scene as a bantamweight contestant on the show's 14th season.
Now taking his talent to the flyweight division, Gaudinot definitely has the worst hair at 125.
9. Chuck Liddell
3 of 11UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell pioneered the badass, MMA fighter look with his signature mohawk and goatee.
But deciding to go green to celebrate the Green Bay Packers' Super Bowl XLV victory may have taken things a bit too far.
8. Clay Guida
4 of 11Clay Guida made a name for himself in the UFC's lightweight division through his wild fighting style and caveman-like haircut.
But when "the Carpenter" took on Gray Maynard at UFC 4 on FX, "the Bully" wasn't a fan of Guida's hairdo, forcing him to turn to braids that looked like a four-year-old tied them together.
Unfortunately for Guida, his hair wasn't the only problem that night as he wound up on the wrong end of a split decision.
7. Hermes Franca
5 of 11Former UFC lightweight Hermes Franca broke onto the scene back in the day with his slick submission skills, even tapping out Nate Diaz while serving as a WEC champ.
However, for today's fans, most people will only remember Franca's wild dye jobs, sporting purple, blonde, and countless other colors into the cage over the years.
6. Urijah Faber
6 of 11"The California Kid" has always been the pretty boy of MMA, showing off his Cali swag usually with a nice flow sitting on top his head.
With such a nice head of hair, it boggles my mind each time I see Urijah Faber sport the cornrows.
Just... no.
5. Kimbo Slice
7 of 11Youtube brawler turned MMA sideshow, Kimbo Slice has thrived off his image of being a hardcore badass - even with his gangster-like, George Costanza hairstyle.
At least his beard makes up for the baldness.
4. Miguel Torres
8 of 11Miguel Torres has had a turbulent relationship with the UFC, recently getting cut by the promotion for a second time this past August.
While details about his release haven't revealed much about the situation, maybe Torres' mullet was the cause.
3. Seth Petruzelli
9 of 11Seth Petruzelli may be known as "the Kimbo Killer", but his wild dye job deserves a special spot in the annals of MMA history as well.
2. Mayhem Miller
10 of 11Mayhem Miller came to the forefront of the MMA world for his zany entrances, all over the place personality, and crazy hairdos.
For a while, Mayhem sported black hair with a red or blonde stripe but decided to go with the full frosted tips look when he rejoined the UFC in 2011.
Too bad the bleach went straight to his brain as the controversial fighter has had multiple incidents since returning to and subsequently being released by the world's largest MMA promotion.
1. Roy Nelson
11 of 11Roy Nelson's hairstyle is equally as hilarious as it is terrifying to look at.
A mix between a grizzly bear and a white trash Santa Claus, "Big Country's" outrageous ponytail and beard combination remains an enigma of the sport.
