TNA Wrestling: Should Bobby Roode Be Behind Aces and Eights?

Daniel PeragineJun 7, 2018

Since the invasion of Aces and Eights on TNA Impact! Wrestling, all signs are pointing to the idea that Bobby Roode could be the person behind the problems the heel faction is causing in recent weeks.

TNA did a good job hinting that James Storm could take a heel turn and be the leader of the group after he was left unharmed on multiple occasions. It would have been a daring move on TNA's part, but it was best to have Storm continue on his course towards the heavyweight championship rather than throwing a curveball at viewers.

Aside from Roode, another strong candidate for the job would be a returning Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett has plenty of experience on being a heel figure. He performed well in that role when he was with Hulk Hogan's Immortal group in 2011. Jarrett, who has been off TNA television for months, would be another twist TNA has to offer to wrestling fans.

However, Roode has been one of wrestling's biggest heel stars. He is a star in the making and this new potential role as the leader of Aces and Eights would bring his career to a new set of highs.

Aces and Eights may be the hottest heel faction in wrestling today. TNA Impact! Wrestling has gotten even better with the group involved in their programming. This invasion angle is working well because of the right pieces being put together.

The missing piece to complete the perfect puzzle could be Roode.

Roode has been off TNA television recently and completely out of the heavyweight-title picture. With Aces and Eights going after Austin Aries in recent weeks, this should be a clear sign that Roode may be ordering these attacks on the heavyweight champion.

Will viewers see Roode before the Bound for Glory pay-per-view?

If TNA wants Roode to be their person to lead Aces and Eights going forward, the best idea is to have the members of Aces and Eights hype the leader who will appear at Bound for Glory. This means leaving Roode off Impact! Wrestling until Bound for Glory.

With no Roode in sight to help the TNA roster, will the former heavyweight champion lead Aces and Eights?
