Manchester United Transfer News: Dimitar Berbatov Joins Fulham
It was always going to be a day of far more goings than comings for Manchester United this transfer deadline day.
With the squad already sufficiently strengthened over the course of the summer, it seemed unlikely that many (if at all any) new players would be brought into the club on this day of thrills.
However, one transfer deal that most United fans will have mixed feelings about is the reported (sky sports transfer deadline clock) transfer of Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov, to Fulham.

Most Red Devils fans will be happy that a player who never once said a bad word against the club, despite sitting week in week out on the bench for the majority of last season, will be given a second chance at forging out a career.
However, at the same time its never nice for any side to lose a player of Berba's quality, and his presence as a backup striker will be sorely missed.
In reality Dimitar was unlikely to feature at all in any of United's campaigns this season after the recent signing of Dutch striker Robin van Persie.
The move for the Arsenal striker pushed the entire front line at United down a peg in the pecking order, and for Berbatov—who was already number four on that list—that was really the beginning of the end of his time at Old Trafford.
Fulham will no doubt take heavy losses today in the form of Moussa Dembele (Tottenham) and Clint Dempsey, who has yet to be signed by anyone, despite very keen interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.
As such, this signing is something that the Cottagers need to ensure Premier League stability this season.
Good luck to Berbatov at his new club, and a massive thank you from all the United fans who have loved watching you over the past four years
