Ian HanfordJun 7, 2018

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton hurt his arm against the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday evening, according to the team's Twitter feed:

The Bengals' worst nightmare appears to have been averted. According to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com, Dalton doesn't seem overly concerned about his injury whatsoever:

"

I’m good, no problem at all. I just took a hit on the arm, and my hand got feeling a little numb, sort of like getting hit on your funny bone. But it’s fine now. There was just no point in taking any more snaps in this particular game.

"

This is great news for the Bengals, who are looking to build on some of the magic that carried them to the playoffs a season ago. With Dalton apparently OK, the Bengals' playoff aspirations are still intact, and it doesn't look like he's in danger of missing time.

The team followed that news with an optimistic report just a few minutes later:

"

Dalton is very nonchalant on the sideline. He appears to be fine. Diagnosis is a bruised arm.

An injury to Dalton would be critical to the Bengals' 2012 season.
