Manchester United Transfer Rumors: Liam Moore Would Be Smart Buy for Future

Manchester United are reportedly interested in Leicester City star Liam Moore, according to The Daily Mail.

With the injury-prone Rio Ferdinand nearing the end of his career, Ferguson has been eyeing long-term defensive reinforcements for a while, but he has decided to act now with Phil Jones and Chris Smalling also out injured.

Moore is one of the most promising young players in English football, and certainly has a bright future ahead of him in the Premier League.

United has allowed three goals in their first two league matches, and have looked unorganized at the back on multiple occasions.

After having problems defending against clubs like Fulham and Everton, the Red Devils could find themselves in trouble against top attacking sides such as Chelsea, and crosstown rivals Manchester City.

Moore is a versatile defender who can play in the middle of the defense, or out wide. He is also athletic and has good football intelligence.

He would be a smart buy for Ferguson to ensure that United have a strong defense for many years to come.

A defensive midfielder might be the ideal target for Manchester United, but Moore is definitely a player worth making a strong effort to bring to Old Trafford.
