Golfers to Watch
Tiger Woods
Woods is the favorite in this event, which is something he’s accustomed to. However, he’s got to start living up to that or he’s going to watch the FedEx Cup slip from his reach.
He fell out of contention by Sunday at the Barclays event and has to improve his game here in Boston. There is simply no reason for Tiger to fail, and a win here would greatly improve his chances of taking home the Cup.
Rory McIlroy
McIlroy is back on top of the golf world after winning the PGA Championship, but he’s got to pick it up soon by placing well in the Deutsche Bank Championship.
He’s listed as a co-favorite with Woods, which means he should be near the top of the leaderboard on Sunday.
However, Rory has traditionally struggled after winning major tournaments, and that could once again be his downfall.
Prediction
Tiger is going to take back control of the FedEx Cup and win in Boston over Labor Day. He’s the best golfer in the world, and he has a history of making remarkable victories look easy.
Expect a vintage performance from Woods at the Deutsche Bank Championship.
