U.S. Open Tennis 2012: Schedule of Day 3 Play

We are two days into the 132nd U.S. Open, and so far all has gone according to plan—the closest thing to an upset was when rising star Sloane Stephens downed No. 22 seeded Francesca Schiavone.

As the tournament begins to move from the opening round into the second round, things should start to get much more interesting. (If you doubt this, see Rafael Nadal at this year's Wimbledon). Wednesday, August 29th is the third day of the Open, and many of the sport's best will be playing at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, including Victoria Azarenka, Maria Sharapova, Andy Murray, Juan Martin del Potro and the Williams sisters.

The first match will begin on each court at 11:00 a.m. EDT, with the remaining scheduled matches immediately following.

The matches that generate the most interest will be played at Arthur Ashe Stadium, Louis Armstrong Stadium, the Grandstand, Court 11, Court 13 and Court 17. Additional matches will be held concurrently on Courts 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15 and 16. Below is a schedule of play for the six major courts on Wednesday, August 29th.
