The Panthers are the top team in the nation for the second time this season, and for the second time they are going to fall. On Thursday, they were upset by Providence 81-73. This loss snapped a seven-game win streak.

The Pirates have been a little less successful this season, but they did manage to snap their three-game losing streak with a 15 point victory over South Florida.

All five of the Pirates previous wins had come before their three-game losing streak, when they managed to win five in a row. Unfortunately for Seton Hall, those wins did not come over the best opponents the Big East has to offer.

Pitt is going to be looking to make a big statement. The timing of the Providence loss could wind up helping them a lot more than hurting them—this can give them the extra boost to fuel them through the end of the regular season, the Big East Tournament, and March Madness.
