Shelby 427 Practice One
Okay, so I feel really stupid right now.
They said in Practice One for the NSCS that my man Joey Logano isnโt going to race in the Nationwide race. I picked him on both my friends pages to win the race!
Iโm nuts.
Note to self: look before leaping.
Rayโs Fantasy Tip Of The Day: CHECK THE ENTRY LIST!
Okay, now that you have had your laugh, letโs get to the info from todayโs NSCS practice!
I did watch practice live today and was kinda shocked at Dale Jr.
I mean, whatโs his problem? Sure itโs only practice, but not sure what was keeping him from running well. Dude, sure itโs only two races into the season, but heโs barely in the top 35 in points! He canโt afford mistakes.
How about Mark Martin?
That dude dominated the first session! Itโs possible heโs on pace to break Kasey Kahneโs track record from a few years back. That would be cool! He won the practice and looks to carry that speed over to Sundayโs race.
So much for Rousch dominance. I only saw one car from that camp in the top 10 during the practice session.
That was the No. 16 of Greg Biffle, who so far this season has been mediocre. I still love the Biff and have gone on record saying that I think heโs the dark horse to win the 2009 title, but so far Iโm worried.
Vegas has Carl Edwards as the favorite to win the Shelby 427 this weekend.
Of course they had him that way for the Auto Club and as you recall we heard very little from Edwards all day. In the end, he finished a decent seventh.
Kyle Busch had to change engines early in the practice session, and thus will start at the rear of the field. He will rely on setups from teammates Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin.
The No. 77 car brushed the wall during practice, but the damage appears to be purely cosmetic.
This wraps up my pratice report. Qualifying is underway as we speak. Enjoy your race weekend.
