Hello world! As avid golf fans know, Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland is an amazing talent who has already made his mark on the European Tour. This week in Arizona, Rory is making his American debut and is introducing his golf skills to the world at the Accenture World Match Play Championships. The story in the headlines this week was to be the long awaited return of Tiger, but after losing yesterday, all eyes are on the 19 year old Irishman. Young Rory has quickly climbed up the world rankings since turning pro and although not a PGA Tour member, he was invited to this week's event as one of the top 64 in the world golf rankings. In the seldom used match play format he has won his first 3 matches and advanced to the quarter finals where he will meet former US Open and 2006 World Match Play champion, Geoff Ogilvy. Be sure to tune in tomorrow to catch this match and get a rare look at young man who could well be a dominant player in the years to come.
