Madden 13 Release and NBA Live 13 Talk on Franchise Mode

Madden 13 released via EA Season Pass on Friday, and the sports gaming world stood still. The game has received rave reviews from various media outlets, as well as from yours truly.

This episode of Franchise Mode talks about the huge release among other things in the world of sports video gaming. Here is a breakdown of what is covered in the video, besides Madden 13:

NBA 2K13 Developer Insight 2

2K Sports released its second developer insight, and I have information and footage from that video. Since then, news of a crew-like feature has hit the Internet. 

The rumor was sparked by the release of the Xbox 360 achievements list associated with NBA 2K13, per xbox360achievements.org. It shows achievements for something called "MYTEAM," which sounds a lot like the old Crew mode.

Stay tuned for more information on that exciting possibility.

NBA Live 13

The game most of us know nothing about released some screenshots in June, but nothing official since then.

There was a video that leaked last week, but it wasn't clear what stage of the development the game was in at the time.

Either way, the footage was not met with positive feedback. The video can be seen on Kotaku.com. In that article there is an update from EA Sports that states the following:

"

"The video appears to be captured from a pre-alpha build months ago and is not an official EA Sports release. It does not represent a final build or feature set for NBA Live."

We'll see where this one goes.
