Little League World Series 2012 Scores: Best Pitchers in Baseball Classic
The Little League World Series has showcased some great young pitchers throughout the years and the 2012 edition has been no different.
While everyone loves to see some offense, a great pitching performance can be fun to watch—especially when that pitcher is just 12 years old. These are the pitchers that have submitted the best performances in the tournament.
Edisson Gonzalez, Panama

Edisson Gonzalez of Panama has been great as a starting pitcher for the Panama team. He's one of the few pitchers in the tournament who has netted two wins and he was huge in the team's win against Mexico that earned them a berth in the International Championship game.
It's hard to say where his team would be without his two stellar starts in the tournament. Gonzalez has posted an ERA of 1.20 with 19 K's in just 10 innings pitched. His 19 K's are the most by any player in the tournament.
According to scouting site BaseballFactory.com, Gonzalez compares to Pedro Martinez at the pro level.
Danny Marzo, California
California has been among the most resilient teams in the tournament, rallying from a second round loss to get back to the semifinals with a shot at winning the U.S. bracket.
If it is able to complete its incredible comeback, California will have Marzo to thank for a lot of the success.
The southpaw has been downright nasty on the mound, fanning 17 batters in just 7.2 innings and earning a victory in one of his two starts.
Noriatsu Osaka, Japan
Japan is by far the best pitching team in the entire tournament, so an argument could be made for just about any of its pitchers to be on this list, but Osaka has been the most dynamic.
Osaka has yet to start a game, but his role as the team's de facto closer has been vital to the team's success. Osaka has been a lockdown reliever throughout the tournament and has yet to give up a run.
His 13 strikeouts in 7.1 innings pitched leads the Japan team as he has simply blown batters away with his fastball late in games.
