Here Today, Gone Tomorrow?

"Where do you get all this money?" asked my first girlfriend, seconds after I gave her an expensive bracelet on Valentines Day.

"What's money? Here today, gone tomorrow!" I replied with a smirk on my face (I was completely broke at that time!)

Ever since then I've come across quite a number of things that can be classified under the 'Here Today, Gone Tomorrow' bracket.

Money, Cars, Girlfriends (not the latest love of my life though) all fit into that particularly category.

Coming towards the mere purpose of this article, the ridiculous merry-go-round that has been created of Premier League managers can also be added to my list.

Sacked. Sacked. Sacked.

The word is often used to terrorize managers, who are close to being shown the door.

Kevin Keegan rescued Newcastle from the grasp of relegation by the skin of their teeth and was 'sacked' the following season after what was admittedly a poor run of games but no just reason to kick 'Kev' out, he clearly couldn't bond with Mike Ashley and the muppets on Tyneside.

Alan Curbishely fell victim to a similar mishap at Upton Park. Why Sven Goran Eriksson was sacked at Manchester City after a rather successful season, nobody knows!

Tony Adams at Pompey, Well, you might argue, it was coming anyway!

Luiz Felipe Scolari at Chelsea, a massive gamble, didn't you know Mr. Abramovich? Why sign him in the first place, if you aren't willing to give him the time!

Gary Megson, Gareth Southgate, Tony Mowbray, Gianfranco Zola and perhaps even the likes of Rafael Benitez are having nightmares of being hammered away!

Then again, we can always say "parted ways by mutual consent", you're having a laugh aren't you?
