Bank On That! Money in the Bank Preview
The championship matches may be getting the hype at Wrestlemania, but the new time honored tradition known as Money in the Bank will return more dangerous than ever. The object of this ladder match is to scale the ladder, retrieve and come down with the briefcase, and if you do that, you will have earned the opportunity to face the champion of your choice anytime in the next 12 months. Here's the participants of this year's MITB Ladder Match.
Mr. Kennedy
The man who scaled the ladder mountain at last year's Wrestlemania in Detroit, Mr. Kennedy has shown that he is more than a mike wielding jackass this year. Since losing the coveted briefcase to Edge last summer, Kennedy has been on a mission to return to his time of glory. It's gotten so bad that he has made it clear that when he wins the MITB, he will be cashing it in that night. The Green Bay Gasbag has become nothing more than a pain in the ass to almost everyone on the RAW roster. But the problem isn't his mouth. It's his competition.

Chris Jericho
The "Ayatollah of Rock and Roll-a" has been on a rampage ever since getting screwed out of the WWE Championship at Armageddon. But if it's any consolation, he's been on fire ever since that screw job. The second coming has hit minimum snags, but that hasn't derailed him from saving us from the long winded spewing of Randy Orton and several others. Jericho earned his spot in the match by defeating the momentum filled Jeff Hardy and then went on to claim the Intercontinental Championship from the Rainbow Haired Warrior this past Monday so it's been safe to say that Y2J is ready for his second MITB Ladder Match. But if there's anyone who has had some momentum on their side...
Shelton Benjamin
The Golden Standard has become a force to be reckoned with since joining the ECW roster. Even though he hasn't lost a match since joining the brand, Benjamin has shown that he can hang with the best that the Land of Extreme has to offer. He looks to continue that dominance in his second appearance in the Ladder match. Hopefully he gets rid of his Eminem hairstyle before the big dance because he looks more like a Sisqo wannabe than the Golden Standard of ECW. Regardless, he will be in the match and is looking to finally punch his ticket and claim the prize that has once eluded him, but not by much. But he isn't the only Extremist that will be appearing in the match.
CM Punk
The Straight Edge Extremist has a thirst for competition. The problem is that thanks to Vickie Guerrero and Edge, his thirst has been cut off several times. While Chavo has been reigning as ECW Champion, Punk has been working his way back to the top of the mountain. He continued that quest by beating Big Daddy V (who still needs a bra) last week on ECW. Punk was in last year's MITB so he knows what he's getting himself into. He came close last year, and he's looking to make sure that he's the one hoisting the briefcase this year. But to do that, he will have to go through the previously mentioned superstars as well as...
Carlito
The Caribbean Sensation has not been the center of attention as much as he was during his first year with WWE, but he is still just as dangerous. With his patented finisher, The Backstabber, Carlito quickly got back to his glory days when he won the US and IC Championships in his debuts with both RAW and SmackDown. Though he lacks the experience of some of his fellow MITB participants, he knows what it takes to win. Come Wrestlemania, he will have to do whatever it takes to beat out 6 other guys to claim the prize dangling from 15 feet in the air. At least he isn't a first timer like...
MVP
SmackDown's franchise player has quickly become a force to be reckoned with. Since winning the US Championship from Chris Benoit last year, Porter has been setting his sights higher. Now he's focused on possibly becoming the World Champion, but to do that, he has to be in a match that he has never been in. The Ballin' superstar needs to outlast 6 other guys, scale the ladder, come down with the case, and then he can celebrate. Here's the issue: those other 6 guys know what it takes to be at the top of the world. Speaking of top of the world, the final entrant in this year's match knows something about being at the top of the food chain.
John Morrison
The artist formally known as Johnny Nitro has been on a roll since returning to action. After teaming with The Miz, Morrison captured the WWE World Tag Team titles and hasn't lost them since. Though tonight, he may have put a damper on his partnership when he and Miz battled for the final spot in the match. Morrison has been in ladder matches before, and he has been in this match as well. As one of the veterans of this brutal match, Morrison knows that he will have to do whatever it takes if he intends on being back at the top of the Land of Extreme. Simply put, the Shaman of Sexy and Tuesday Night Delight has earned his spot in the match. Now he needs to finish what he started.
Who has what it takes to scale the mountain and become the winner of this year's Money in the Bank Ladder Match? Why is this match so important? The last three briefcase owners all had Championship Gold. Edge is the only one to claim the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships thanks to the case. Rob Van Dam claimed the WWE Championship at ECW One Night Stand and the next night was awarded the ECW Championship. This match is a big deal if you're looking to become the top dog in the WWE. On Sunday March 30th, someone will become a little more famous. The question is who will it be?
