Chelsea Turn Down City Bid for David Luiz?
1 of 5Chelsea have rejected a £30 million bid from Manchester City for Brazilian defender David Luiz, according to The Sun.
Luiz joined Chelsea from Benfica in 2011. He sat out Wednesday's win over Reading and angered Chelsea officials by revealing on Twitter that a knee injury kept him out of the match (Metro).
According to The Sun, though, Luiz missed the match because City and Chelsea were trying to reach a deal over a transfer. Luiz has reportedly been fined for the tweet.
AC Milan Lead Chase for De Jong?
2 of 5AC Milan lead the chase for Manchester City midfielder Nigel De Jong (Goal.com).
De Jong, 27, is in the final year of his contract and has yet to sign a new deal. He joined City from Hamburg in 2008.
Inter Milan are also thought to be interested in De Jong, who is rated around £8 million.
Arsenal After Navas
3 of 5Arsenal are interested in signing Spain winger Jesus Navas from Sevilla, according to the Daily Star.
Navas, 26, scored once for Spain at Euro 2012 and, according to the Daily Star, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger sees him as a reliable goal scorer.
Navas is rated at £27 million, but the Gunners plan to offer significantly less than that with their opening bid, according to the Daily Star.
Liverpool Dealing for Dempsey? Keeping Carroll?
4 of 5Liverpool want to sell midfielders Charlie Adam and Jay Spearing in order to raise the funds necessary to sign American midfielder Clint Dempsey from Fulham (Daily Mirror).
According to the Mirror, Adam will be offered to Fulham in part-exchange for Dempsey. Everton are also thought to be interested. Bolton are reportedly interested in signing Spearing on loan.
In other Liverpool news, manager Brendan Rodgers is reluctant to let forward Andy Carroll join Newcastle on loan (Guardian). Rodgers is reportedly concerned about the lack of depth in Liverpool's attack.
Dawson Deal Breaks Down?
5 of 5England defender Michael Dawson's potential move from Tottenham Hotspur to Queens Park Rangers has been delayed, according to the Daily Mail.
Spurs and QPR had reportedly agreed to a fee of £10 million for the 28-year-old, but the deal has reportedly stalled.
According to the Mail, Stoke City and Sunderland are now trying to "gazump" QPR to the deal.
Dawson joined Spurs from Nottingham Forest in 2005. He has four senior caps for England.
