There Is No Joy In Mudville, Umm, I Mean Tucson, as Mighty Tiger Has Struck Out
A massive traffic jam is undoubtedly clearing up by now as 3/4 of the gallery for this tournament are on their merry way home now.
Concessions will feel the pinch, as thousands of thirsty spectators will not hang around this weekend. Tiger lost to Tim Clark.
0-1 in picks so far. Hmmm. Let's look at what transpired in the other matches.
Jim Furyk won over Martin Kaymer 4 and 2. 1-1 for my picks now.
Ian Poulter got the victory 1 up over Charl Schwartzel, but i still feel wronged somehow, not getting to watch Tiger anymore this week. I am 2-1 now.
Camilo Villegas won his match also, over Miguel Angel Jimenez. Now I am 3-1.
Hunter Mahan disappointed me with a loss to Rory Mcllroy and knocks me down to 3-2 in the second round of trying to pick winners.
Peter Hanson defeated Stephen Ames and now I am 3-3.
Ernie Els also defeated Steve Stricker to drop me to 3-4.
Oliver Wilson will defeat Anthony Kim too. 3-5. Now I am getting a bad feeling about picking match play winners.
It looks like Sean O'Hair will also beat Boo Weekly. 3-6. It s okay though, wait til I tell you about the Mayacopa today. I have an ace up my sleeve.
I think I have a winner with Stewat Cink over Lee Westwood. Whew! 4-6.
Thie leaves Vj losing I think, 4-7, and Phil beating Zach. 4-8, with four more matches to try and fight back to 8-8, which seems doubtful. Good thing I don't bet on golf. What a mess.
In the Mayacopa Classic in Mexico however, I did pick Bo Van Pelt as my B player. He shot eight under par and is alone at the top. Also all my players are below par and scoring points. I may make a nice move in Yahoo fantasy golf.
I will try to pick some winners in the final eight matches in Tuscon this weekend. I do like Jim Furyk and Camilo Villegas to go pretty far in this venue.
Tough going for Tiger, but the Masters should be interesting this year!
