Daniel Bryan is Vince McMahon’s hottest property.

In fact, he might even become the most valuable asset the WWE has to offer.

Bryan has taken every angle the creative staff has given him and succeeded. From his romance/breakup with AJ to changing to “No” from “Yes,” Bryan is thriving in the WWE.

WWE management seems to have faith in Bryan in carrying feuds and making angles work. Thanks to Daniel Bryan, the WWE has a solid player that they can utilize for a long time.

Here are a few reasons why Daniel Bryan is invaluable to Vince McMahon. 

Bryan and AJ Still Works

The dynamic between Bryan and AJ has gone through many roads in the past eight months.

The creative writing team knows the crowd is invested in their relationship (or lack thereof). They went from being in a relationship to making the fans figure out who’s crazier.

They even swapped positions of power. It was Bryan controlling AJ in the beginning, and now it’s evolved with AJ as the new Raw general manager controlling Bryan.

Management must realize the chemistry these two have. A large part is Bryan really selling his emotions to the crowd.

They play off each other so well, and it seems it won’t end anytime soon.

In-Ring Work

No one should question Daniel Bryan’s in-ring work ethic.

The wrestler formerly known as Bryan Danielson put on great wrestling matches in the past year. His match with Sheamus at Extreme Rules nearly stole the show and solidified himself as a main-event player. His three-month feud with CM Punk provided some of the best matches of the year for the WWE.

Even his Summerslam bout with Kane displayed great psychology between the two men.

Plus, his interactions with the crowd during his matches have gotten him over with the WWE Universe. He’s played his heel persona well in the ring, and it helps keep him relevant to the WWE fans.

'Yes!' and 'No!' the New 'What?'

Daniel Bryan should be credited for laying the groundwork for making a name for himself in the WWE.

It was more than just his ring work that got him over. It was one word, “YES!”

Fans chanted, “Yes,” during and after WrestleMania 28. The phenomenon still carries over to this day.

The creative teams could have wanted to divert the attention away from Bryan, since he is playing heel. Enter the “No” gimmick.

Bryan went from shouting “Yes” to “No” within the summer, and it worked. The crowd still chants yes, but Bryan doesn’t want them to anymore.

He brilliantly has utilized “No” the same way as he did with “Yes,” and it works. 

Charisma

None of Bryan’s vocal gimmicks would have gotten over if he didn’t have charisma.

Bryan gets the crowd invested with more than just one word. His promos drive home his gimmicks, and he makes the crowd play into his heel role.

Management knew what they were doing when they wanted to drive support away from Bryan. They kept him as a heel because Bryan was more effective in that role.

So far, Bryan has proven them right. He can turn that crowd against him and make them care.

It’s because of Bryan’s charisma and his way to work the crowd that has made him a hot commodity in the WWE.

Daniel Bryan: Adaptable

One word sums up Daniel Bryan in the WWE: adaptable.

He got over by himself through his wrestling and his “Yes” entrance. He earned respect with everyone in the WWE and created a phenomenon with the WWE Universe.

Bryan has taken every storyline thrown at him and excelled in it. His feuds with Sheamus, Punk and Kane have been keeping fans talking. His on again/off again relationship with AJ is still relevant in the WWE.

Despite the numerous changes in the past year to Bryan’s character, he is still a main fixture in the WWE. His ability to roll with any storyline has made him Vince McMahon’s hottest property.

Expect Daniel Bryan to keep momentum for quite some time.
