WWE News: Stone Cold, Huge Backstage Speculation on Possible Return
There are few superstars that fans would rather see back in the ring than "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
On a report from PWInsider that cites backstage sources, such a scenario may become possible in the not-too-distant future (h/t Wrestlinginc.com).
The story claims that, "Coming out of the SummerSlam weekend events in Los Angeles, word from sources is that Steve Austin will indeed be wrestling one more match with WWE, but that match most likely will not take place at WrestleMania 29 in 2013."

"Austin's final match isn't expected to happen until WrestleMania 30 in 2014."
Although such speculation may be disappointing to some who had held out hope that Austin may appear at next April's showcase event, he did just recently undergo knee surgery.
But it seems that fans of the Attitude Era legend may have to wait another year to see the dream return.
The reasoning behind this is not only because of Austin's current physical state, but also due to the fact that he would only come back for another match if it was to be in the main event of WrestleMania, the WWE's most high profile pay-per-view.
In an interview with British tabloid The Sun last year, Austin revealed who his ideal opponent would be for his final match.
"I think Punk is a great guy. I’d say he looks up to me for what I did in the ring back in the day—and I look up to him for what he is doing now. I’d say it’s a case of mutual respect," he said.
“I hear the stories and if the stars aligned and all things worked out to benefit us all—the WWE, myself and Punk—I’d say that he is the guy I’d pick to face."
Fans will be no doubt be hoping that this is the case come 2014.
