WWE Raw: Complete Preview, Rumors, News and More for August 20

With the 2012 edition of SummerSlam in the rear-view mirror now, the focus has shifted to Monday’s Raw and what is next for the company’s biggest stars.

Despite the poor build for the majority of the matches on the card, the show was excellent and even the smarkiest fan has to admit the level of greatness for this pay-per-view.

While fans didn’t expect much, the WWE Universe received a show worthy of the SummerSlam name.

Now that it’s over, the WWE has the tendency of putting on great episodes of Raw the night after a PPV, so this edition of the show should be amazing.

Brock Is Officially Back

Now that the former NCAA, WWE and UFC champion has officially won a match in the WWE, his return can be considered a success. While the company was unsure of how the star would act upon his return, Brock has been nothing but excellent with Paul Heyman.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Will Brock Lesnar be at Monday’s Raw?

As we saw with Triple H and Undertaker, the Game isn’t above injecting himself into the main event of a show, and something tells me this won’t be the last matchup between Brock and Triple H in 2012. That could start Monday.

Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 rematches we want to see

The match Sunday night at SummerSlam was great for what it was, and the WWE has to be so happy about the kind of star they signed with Lesnar. His in-ring style is unique and his presence is awe-inspiring, making anything his character does worth watching; he is the perfect WWE heel.

CM Punk Steals the Show

After telling John Cena that he would make people respect him on Sunday, Punk took the easy way out in his match and stole the win from Cena. While Big Show was the biggest winner of the night—looking like an absolute tank—it was Punk’s stolen win that continued his slow-burn heel turn.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Is Punk going full heel?

While there is no doubt that Punk isn’t a straight face anymore, there is no way you can call him a full-blown heel, either. At this point, he is the definition of a tweener; and that is perfectly fine! 

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 pink sets of wrestling gear

It will be interesting to see what all three members of the WWE title match say Monday after their battle at SummerSlam, but what Punk says will have the world’s attention. With Cena clearly not happy about the finish, this beef is far from over.

Sheamus Is the Worst Face Ever

Between Dolph Ziggler, Antonio Cesaro and the rest of the exciting SummerSlam show, there were so many points that had to be made, but one stuck out like a sore thumb: Sheamus is the absolute worst face champion the "Be A Star" campaign could ever imagine.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Is Sheamus a heel in waiting?

After stealing Alberto Del Rio’s car, lying to general manager Booker T and cheating his way to a win in the World Heavyweight Championship match, it is clear that this is not the role model I want my kids looking up to. For a face, Sheamus sure does break the rules all the time.

Hype Meter: 2 out of 5 Eddie Guerrero tributes

It’s unclear if the WWE is just trying to add edge to Sheamus’ character, but it's making fans question the decisions and turn on the character. If the Irish star is going to be a face, the WWE should ensure that he doesn’t cheat and show a bad example to kids. That’s not very nice, fella.
