Triple H, Chris Jericho and Kane have all brought fans to their feet at past SummerSlam pay-per-view events, and 2012 promises to be no different.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Here we analyze a trio of sure-to-be thrilling matchups on this weekend's card.
Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar
This matchup is an absolute can't-miss one for true WWE fans. Brock Lesnar's first appearance at SummerSlam came in 2002, when he earned a title shot against The Rock. "The Next Big Thing" defeated the People's Champion and proved that no matter how larger-than-life the opponent, he is always a favorite to win.
On Sunday night in Los Angeles, Lesnar will face off against the WWE COO in Triple H, and we can expect an interruption by Shawn Michaels. The Heartbreak Kid must make an appearance in support of Triple H at SummerSlam, and will no doubt find a way to get involved, especially after Lesnar ambushed him and broke his arm on a recent episode of Raw.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Chris Jericho
The personality of these two stars alone makes this a thriller in the making. Both Ziggler and Jericho ooze confidence, and will more than likely throw down one of the best back-and-forth exchanges of the night. Jericho is a veteran who has spent two decades dominating inside the ring. Quite frankly, he knows how to entertain and excite at SummerSlam.
Ziggler won't fail to disappoint either. In a way, Ziggler is the Chris Jericho of today's WWE. Although it is hard to see Jericho winning this matchup considering he is so far past his prime in the sport, his return has been a successful one nonetheless. The sparks are set to fly when these two meet, that's for sure.
Kane vs. Daniel Bryan
These two fellas will put the slam in SummerSlam this weekend. Kane is of course a wrestling legend and a character that has delivered on similar stages in the past. Meanwhile, I'm not sure what to expect from Daniel Bryan, as he is clearly the less interesting personality in this matchup.
A Chokeslam is a guarantee in this one, which makes it that much more of a must-see match. In the end, Kane is my pick to prevail, as he is the more beloved figure and stronger finisher inside the ring. Still, Bryan is a crafty competitor, and capable of wreaking some havoc himself. I guess the only logical thing to do is see how it plays out on Sunday.
