Ryan Lochte: Upcoming 90210 Cameo Was a No-Brainer for All Involved

Get ready for more Ryan Lochte on your television screens. While the 2012 Olympics are now long gone, people, including Lochte himself, are wasting no time trying to capitalize on his growing fame. He is scheduled to make a cameo on CW's 90210, on Monday, October 29 at 9 p.m. ET. 

The Associated Press passes along the information, which was announced by the CW network. They add:

Lochte will play a guest at a resort visited by characters Naomi and Max, played by AnnaLynne McCord and Josh Zuckerman.

In the scene, Naomi makes a fuss over seeing the handsome Olympian. The show's producers say there's no water involved, adding that Lochte "deserves a little rest on dry land."

If October 29 seems like to long to catch Lochte, don't worry, his agent tweeted this nugget:

It is also a safe bet that there will be plenty more appearances by Lochte. The five-time Olympic medalist's fame has been skyrocketing. While London 2012 was his third Olympic Games, he had a much higher profile this time around, and he emerged as one of the big sex symbols of the event.

It is pretty clear that there are countless people out there that wouldn't mind seeing this champ grace their TV screen, and many—if not most or all—fall right into the demographic that 90210 is shooting for. 

We are talking about a series that thrives far more on looks, than on acting, and by adding Lochte to an episode they create an instant buzz, which undoubtedly has people circling October 29 on their calendars that otherwise never would have. 

This pairing is a win-win-win (that would be for Lochte, 90210, and all the fans clamoring for more Lochte).

In fact, it would appear that the only loser here would be people like me whose significant other hands them a pool membership after looking at Lochte and then the non-greek god looking person sitting next to them on the couch.
